Is it safe to book in agoda?
It's not my first blog about hotel or application review, this review doesn't contained any aim to imputate. But I really want to warn people to thinking twice about booking online. I hope you guys get my point about what I want to say. And I'm really apologize for my broken English.
First of all I was book one apartment on agoda but I don't understand why I have to pay it immedeitely. They give you no choices as another application, instead of later pay as another application. It forces you to pay now. I don't have any problem with that, so I paid and go straightly to the apartment. By the way, it's the daily apartment in Bangkok. Its name's Baan Pa--um aprtment in Rachada. (If you guys want to know the name of this place you guys can inbox me).
When we were arrive we told the guy who take care of the building that we booked the room from agoda and he looked us as chicken look the wolf, he said what is that? I don't know what is agoda. He asked me what is the room number. I told him I don't know how I can know about this. Then I checked in agoda for more information but it's nothing. Then we asked him " what we should do? Can we talked with the owner?" . He talked confusingly and tried to avoid us. He didn't answer the right question, he said " the owner is in holiday ". we were like what the heck. I except that I was not so polite talking to him but if you were me you will understand why. So right after I was trying to call to agoda service but you know what's happened?. "Sorry, this number is not exist " .... What? ... Me and my friends now were more confused. I asked him again with very angry voice and I shout to him. " I need your manager right now!! He still answered me the same. The manger is on holiday. Then he showed me some number but when I called it still not exist. We're kind of angry and disappointed how agoda treated us. How is that possible when I called to Thai agoda service but the number is not exist. I tried anyway to talk but nothing. Until one Myanmar woman she came. I talked with her about we booked this place and we are already paid, so what we should do about this if you do not have a room then called your manager and taking back our money. Then she went in the room and take us a key. She said no problem you have a room. She took us up to the room number 201. There everything was very stupid, first air- con didn't work so we tried to change room but when we went to room number 208 but It's the same.
After then the room number 201 was okay the air-con work after 20 minutes. Anyway we were very tired and we have no more choices. We've been staying in that room. In the night people were running, laughing out loud. I couldn't sleep. In the morning of another day we went to eat when we back the door was open. How was that possible when we locked the door already and we checked by pulled it before we left. Nothing in the room was taken only our wondering who the heck tried to get in my room. We tried to contact agoda guys but it was nothing. I'm not a person who mind with things like this but this time it's really too much for me. I feel so sorry for my bad attitude to that guy but this was I experienced and I want to share to everyone.
Last but not least, I want to warn you guys about this aprtment and agoda. I think you guys better contact the hotel first and second don't pay it before you check it. Anyway it's my stupidness because I didn't check and careless about this. But this lesson will remind me for the next booking.
